Position Description:
Full-Time Family Law / Litigation Support Paralegal
Paralegal will support Associate Attorney who will be working remotely. Paralegal will be primarily remote, with in office duties for scanning, mailing, meeting clients, etc.
Required Skills:
- Must have reliable computer for remote work.
- Paralegal should have excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Paralegal will be responsible for preparing and filing documents with the court, client interviews, calendaring appointments, consultations, court appearances. Must interact well with clients, opposing paralegals/counsel, court personnel, judges, GALs, experts, witnesses, etc.
- Must be able to compile and discuss case details with attorney and clients.
- Responsible for compiling Trial notebooks.
- Must be able to work independently while remaining a team player (there are 2 other paralegals who support the managing attorney in the office).
- Must be English/Spanish bilingual.
- Knowledge of local court rules a plus.
Required Experience:
Experience in all areas of family law: dissolution, child custody, modification of parenting plan, child support modification, Committed Intimate Relationships. Civil litigation experience a plus.
