Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in legal procedures and a good understanding of Washington State law and procedure. This role is crucial in supporting our attorneys with legal research, document preparation, court filings, scheduling and client interaction, ensuring compliance with the legal process and state regulations, and contributing to the effective management of cases.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including wills, trusts, pleadings, motions, and briefs.

Conduct legal research and compile case-related information.

Manage case files, including organizing and maintaining documentation and evidence.

Interact with clients to gather information, provide updates, and assist with legal processes.

Prepare and file legal forms and documents in compliance with Washington State and court rules.

Coordinate with courts, experts, other attorneys’ offices, and other legal professionals as needed.

Review and summarize case files, including drafting legal correspondence and reports.

Prepare for and summarize depositions.

Participate in client meetings.

Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of the role.

Qualifications:

Experience: Experienced paralegals, recent graduates from Washington-based paralegal programs, and individuals transitioning from related fields (e.g., administrative roles).

Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field, paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience.

Certification: Paralegal certification (e.g., NALA, NFPA) is preferred but not required.

Skills:

A healthy knowledge of Washington State legal procedures and law.

Strong research and analytical skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

High level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Confidentiality and high ethics.

Ability to manage time effectively, and work remotely with minimal supervision.

Strong work ethic and moral code.
