Legal Assistant/Paralegal – Seattle Law Firm

We are a small litigation law firm seeking a legal assistant/paralegal with at least three years of experience. This is a great opportunity to work at a unique and dynamic law firm. We work very hard in a friendly, supportive, and team-oriented environment.  Every member of our team has a voice and group dynamics are central to our success.  Our current legal assistants work very closely with our lawyers. They do not sit in cubicles in isolation.

Requirements include a four-year college degree, excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent writing and language skills, the ability to handle assignments with minimal supervision, and the ability to work well both independently and as a strong team member in a busy, friendly, and highly productive office environment.

Responsibilities include drafting pleadings and correspondence, scheduling depositions, meetings, etc., filing pleadings in state and federal courts (including e-filing), trial preparation, preparation of illustrative exhibits and PowerPoint presentations, interacting with clients and witnesses, calendaring, and organizing and maintaining files.

All legal assistants share in the administrative duties such as answering phones, filing, and greeting clients.

All legal assistants have a strong working knowledge of basic computer technology, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  We provide our legal assistants with a very competitive salary and benefit package.  The salary offered to any new employee would be based on his or her experience.

Please send cover letter and resume to maureen@christielawgroup.com.
