About The Position

The paralegal will serve as a valuable member of Weyerhaeuser's legal department and actively participate in the acquisition and disposition of real property and ongoing timberlands management. He or she will have the opportunity to work on high level and interesting projects. Responsibilities include reviewing and evaluating title reports, exceptions and encumbrances, preparing title objection letters; analyzing, reviewing and preparing transactional documents for land sales, acquisitions, easements, service contracts, permits and leases; interacting with escrow and title companies; preparing transaction updates to company's electronic land title system; pursuing post-closing corrective matters; preparing and negotiating operational agreements; organizing and maintaining electronic files; and reviewing legal documents for execution by corporate officers.
