About The Position

Our firm is in search of a full-time, well versed Paralegal with an emphasis in criminal law to work in our Olympia office.

Paralegal tasks:

  • Draft correspondence to counsel, clients and insurance companies
  • Draft stipulations and forms to obtain all records
  • Follow up on all records and discovery to ensure timely receipt
  • Draft discovery
  • Draft responses to discovery (and work with clients to obtain necessary information)
  • Draft pleadings (to include but not be limited to witness disclosures, pre-hearing statements
  • Prepare exhibits to various pleadings/discovery basic motions, ER904, jury instructions, etc...
  • Review and summarize all record
  • Work efficiently with experts to provide information needed and obtain reports

Qualifications preferred:

  • Certification from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited paralegal training institution and minimum two years’ experience performing as a Paralegal.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent writing, communication, document management, legal research and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to request and follow up on records & documents requested;
  • Significant litigation experience, particularly with discovery;
  • The ability to organize and maintain a large amount of documents, including the ability to utilize electronic case management systems;
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently.
