JOB DESCRIPTION: COLLECTION PARALEGAL
This position performs the functions of a Collections Paralegal and supports several attorneys in a small law office setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable becoming the main point of contact for clients, homeowners, managers, vendors and escrow agents. Drafting documents for attorneys, filing and recording documents with different counties, obtaining legal documents from public sources, monitoring client and homeowner information, maintaining client files and other duties as assigned.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Draft initial legal pleadings

Draft demand letters and ledgers

Draft Payoffs
-
Track and enter billable time into client management and accounting software

Monitor Trustee Sales and Bankruptcy
-
Prepare status updates to clients
-
Help clients with reconciliations

Create and maintain case files
-
Answers phones
-
Track attorney deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders
-
Conduct legal research when needed

Coordinates Legal Messenger Deliveries
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Minimum 2 years experience as a paralegal or related field

Bachelor's degree or relevant combination of education and experience

Paralegal certificate a plus

Highly organized, proactive, resourceful and able to meet deadlines

Ability to clearly and courteously communicate in person, by email and telephone

Proof of full vaccination upon acceptance of position
PAY: $28-$35/hour DOE HOURS: Full time; In-person BENEFITS:
