This role serves as the front line for managing training programs, mentoring plans, and career development guidance.

What You Contribute:

Working with internal experts in their field, Legal Staff Training & Development Manager, Director of Human Resources, Law Practice Managing Partner, and others on our Leadership Team, help us strengthen our employer brand by supporting employees to do their best work, the way they work best. We provide stellar service to our clients and strive to provide our staff an environment of growth and wellness, providing tools, support, and flexibility so they can consistently deliver to clients.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Provide a stellar employee experience to onboard, develop, and fuel productivity.
  • Develop, resource, coordinate, and maintain oversite of training, education, mentorship, and quality control for legal team members.
  • Support new employee department onboarding experience for employees firmwide.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Deliverables include:

  • Own the development and delivery of firm-wide training and education programs from A to Z.
  • Work with the Law Practice Managing Partner to define outcomes, create calendars and curriculum objectives, and identify and collaborate with domain experts to create outstanding training materials and content.
  • Ensure all training activities happen on time, with quality content and speakers or presentations. Ensure all administrative details are complete.
  • Evaluate projects and overall program to ensure objectives are being achieved.
  • Ensure mentorship program is being successfully implemented.
  • Identify skill gaps for individuals, teams, and content areas, and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Provide detailed reporting of activities and results to leadership. 
  • Own the creation and maintenance of our library of training curriculum and materials.

  • All legal team members receive the highest caliber training, education, and quality control.

  • All legal team members experience opportunities for growth, including highlighting their subject matter expertise, and providing curriculum to share that knowledge.

This is a skilled professional-level individual contributor role, requiring superior internal customer service along with technical expertise in the legal field, training and development, along with a desire to help grow the firm. As an employee advocate, you are front line contact for legal team training programs, mentoring plans, and career development guidance. 

What you bring to the table

  • 7+ years in a professional services environment, with minimum 4 years in legal services. Senior Paralegal experience in Washington State a plus. 
  • Proven background with developing and delivering high impact training curriculum.
  • Growth mindset in all you do, with the ability to coach growth in others.
  • Project/program management experience preferred.
  • Ability to work onsite in any of our offices when some training requires.

Talent Development Program Manager Total Rewards

  • Job Salary Range: 70 – 150k
  • Expected Hiring Range: Level 1 50-80K, level 2 70-100k, level 3 90-120k, level 4 110-140k
  • Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
