Benefits

A probate estate is nothing without its assets, which makes the preparing and filing of the probate inventory a key element to successful administration. The marshalling, preserving, protecting and valuation of the estate assets is the backbone in the probate and tax arenas. This live audio conference will cover all aspects of handling the estate's assets from the perspective of preparing and filing the inventory. It will cover a variety of topics from locating and classifying the assets to preparing and filing the inventory. We will broadly address valuation issues and preparation of accountings. Failing to properly prepare and file an estate accounting can have state and federal tax consequences that reach beyond the probate court so it is important to understand how to properly conduct this part of the administration.
