The National Federation of Paralegal Associations has now announced their Editorial Themes for their 2010 issues of the National Paralegal Reporter. WSPA members and other legal professionals are encouraged to submit articles to the NFPA Reporter Editors for consideration and possible publishing in an upcoming issue. Nominations for 2009 Annual Paralegal Awards now being accepted
WSPA is proud of the many contributions Paralegals make to the practice of law in both Washington State and the Nation. To recognize these outstanding Paralegals, WSPA has initiated a number of Annual Awards. Award Winners will be saluted at our Annual Members Meeting and Awards Luncheon at the Red Lion Hotel in Seattle on Wednesday, May 27th.

WSPA Volunteer of the Year
Paralegal Pro Bono Award (Self Nominated)
Paralegal Community Service Award (Self Nominated)
To be considered for our 2009 Awards, please ensure that your Completed Nomination form is received by our WSPA 2009 Paralegal Awards Chair Theda Yandell (email: past_pres@wspaonline.org).
Award recipients will receive special certificates, awards, and in some categories, free WSPA Memberships. The Paralegal Student Scholarship winner consideration is based on enrollment of at least 9 credit hours per quarter, GPA, and financial need. Student WSPA Membership may be considered but is not required. The winner will receive a $500 check for tuition and books.
WSPA is a proud member of the National Federation of Paralegal Associations ("NFPA"). NFPA is holding its 2009 Annual Convention at the Red Lion Hotel on the River at Jantzen Beach in Portland, Oregon from October 29th through November 1st, 2009.
Your State's representatives will be representing you on the Floor of the Convention and helping shape the future of the paralegal profession. All WSPA members are encouraged to attend this nearby meeting which will be hosted by our friends in the Oregon Paralegal Association, another NFPA affiliate. Many exhibitors and vendors will be showing off the latest in legal technology and services.
The 2009 NFPA Joint Leadership & Regulation Conference will be held on May 1 - 3, 2009 in Seattle, Washington.
