WSPA is a volunteer-run organization that is led by officers and directors who are elected by the Association's members. We encourage your participation at the chapter or state level to help us improve our programs. The more members that are involved, the stronger our organization will become! In addition to the officers and directors who have responsibility for the overall management of the Association and the Chapters, there are various other activities and projects which are handled by member committees or coordinators. The list below is a partial listing of ways you can become involved! There are many other ways in which member volunteers can participate in the association. If you would like to get involved with the association and have an interest which is not listed here, please contact us.

Each chapter director is elected for a two year term by the general membership from among eligible voting members. The primary responsibility of a chapter director is to represent the members served by that chapter on the Board. Additional activities will vary from chapter to chapter, depending on the interests of the members and volunteers. Some chapters hold regular meetings with informative speakers. Meetings may be at lunch time or in the evenings. Some chapters hold periodic social events. There are a number of possibilities for chapter activities, but any activities need people to plan them and carry them out. If you are interested in what chapter activities are upcoming, check the WSPA Calendar, or the page for the specific Chapter you are interested in. If you are interested in serving as a chapter director, regular elections occur in March and nominations are due at the end of January. Watch Findings and Conclusions for more information, or contact our President. If you are interested in assisting with the planning or organization of any kind of chapter activities, contact your chapter director, or the WSPA President |
