If you are planning to take the PACE exam and do not have the time to commit to an in-person WSPA PACE Study Group, this may be an option of interest to you. The course runs for seven weeks, plus a brief pre-course online orientation to familiarize students with the software used by AIPS, the NFPA approved educators for the PACE. The courses are taught through computer-mediated distance learning. Students may communicate with instructors or classmates around the clock from their home or office computer. The course is structured, paced and gated.
The review course will assist paralegals as they prepare to take PACE, by covering the five domains that will be covered in the Exam:
- administration of client legal matters,
- development of client legal matters,
- factual and legal research,
- factual and legal writing, and
- office administration.
- Ethics questions are found in each domain.
The 7 week Review Course Fee is $395 and the textbook fee is $75 (it uses the same PACE Study Manual that the WSPA PACE Study Group will use). Included in the Course Fee is a mock PACE exam that will be administered at the conclusion of the course. That mock exam will give you an analysis of your weak areas and what domains you need to concentrate on as you move toward your final test preparations. (For those paralegals who prefer to take advantage of the WSPA PACE Study Group, you have the option of paying $50 to take the same mock exam.)
